ENTRUST is an ongoing web-based serious game in development for assessing surgical decision making, which was built by a collaboration of surgeons from Stanford's Department of Medicine and UCSC's ALT Games Lab. This platform is meant to provide a dynamic, interactive and standardized way to evaluate the readiness of surgeons-in-training to manage different types of cases.
This web-based platform is hosted using Angular and Firebase. My role in this project involved working on the platform's front-end, which involved using different image assets and coding in TypeScript. This involved tasks like:
-
Adding patient images for the right test cases
-
Adding and adjusting images in the clinic and the OR layout based on the surgery case
-
Added facial expressions for the patients that change based on factors like BP, heart rate, etc.
-
Adjusting screen resolution and button sizes such that they are visible on different screen sizes
